Garden Best Friend

The garden that inspired Garden Best Friend

This is where it began. Everything I suggest to you, I tried here in my own yard first.

Six years ago it was an ordinary, honestly boring, backyard. Now it has garden rooms, winding paths, roses and herbs, and quiet corners to sit in.

It stays beautiful through every season because I planned it that way, on a teacher’s budget and schedule, one decision at a time.

Short clips from the garden

Photos hold still. The garden doesn't. Tap to walk through it with me.

a walk to the path
midsummer, in bloom
roses and lilies
the garden diaries
salvia in the morning sun
the garden room in summer
flowers, gathered indoors
after the rain
what makes you happy?
a new bed waking up
the view from inside
little moments, all over the garden
